Schemes on offer
In their third year of study, students enrolled in our nursing degree programme are given wide-ranging opportunities to take part in a student exchange scheme. The following options are available:

A 2-week observational international student exchange. You gain insight into your host country's healthcare system, nursing practice, educational system and culture. Communication takes place mainly in English.
Short-Term National (STN-OUT)
A 2-week observational practice placement within Switzerland, providing good insight into various areas/institutions of Switzerland's social welfare and healthcare system. Communication takes place in German.
Long-Term International (LTI-OUT)
A 12-week, hands-on international student exchange. You gain in-depth insight into your host country's healthcare system, nursing practice, educational system and culture. Communication takes place in the host country's language (minimum required level: B2).
Students receive a stipend if they go to a European country that is part of the Erasmus Programme.
Conditions and preparation
The application and preparation process for third-year exchanges begins during the third semester of our nursing degree programme. The actual exchange takes place during the fifth semester of study. Which scheme you may benefit from depends on your personal motivation, your ability to work autonomously, and your language skills.
Detailed information on conditions and requirements, the preparatory process and your assigned practice placement will be made available in due time over the course of your training at the BZ Pflege.
